Event Description: The sights and sounds of the holiday season are all around us – festive decorations, lighted displays and music in the stores. But, for those of us who have lost someone the holidays can be a bittersweet time filled with great memories and traditions but dampened by our feelings of loss. To help, Center for Hospice Care is hosting our Tree of Life Remembrance Event on December 8 in memory of our loved ones. You are invited to join us for this beautiful event at our headquarters (227 Dunham Street, Norwich, CT) in our Healing Garden. This family-friendly gathering will take place from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. and features a tree lighting ceremony, open house, music and refreshments. You can “purchase a light” to celebrate and honor the life of your loved one. All donations help fund our bereavement services, which are provided free of charge to anyone in the community who has experienced a loss. In addition, for all gifts received before December 1, your loved one’s name will be included on a banner that will stay with the lit tree from December 8 through January 29.
